Intermezzo Odense II 2013, After action report

Home again. Had two great days of fun in Odense 9/10-05.

The tournament was themed and only Nuts, Devils Charge and Blood, Guts and Glory were allowed. 

I was myself skeptical at the prospect only using the battle of the bulge books. But the armies had great variation on both sides. I hope they will repeat the setup next year.

In advance I was worried about the low number of participants (14). Actually it helped contribute to the calm atmosphere and lack of noise.

There was a single homemade scenario and a single table with special terrain (snow). 

Niels don't play latewar. I need ad som 76mm shermans and M8 and M20. I used som Oldgloy I had in a box.

I had to borrow Niels US figures to be able to play. I had already spotted the rifle company. The possibility of fielding 14 base veteran units with 5 bazookas looked like a good plan.

I ended on at a shared 4. Place.

5-3, 6-1, 3-4, 6-1

The list worked great and my infantry had the resiliences I had hoped for.  The 105mm rocked topping with 2 Jagdtigers on their kill list. The Tank Destroyers had to be used with great care only engaging targets it could wipe out completely or hurt badly. The threat of popping the ambush was at times enough to delays and attack.
