Worst tournament ever

The event was great. The campaign system worked better this year and there was more beacon included in all meals.

The problem was I was sick and had nausea and stomach pains most of the weekend. I only played 2 games consider my conditions it was ok. Better luck next year ;-)

I hope to get more tourments games with my british at Hill54 2014.

The date for Østerskov is approaching.  I am bringing My british PBI (its a market garden tournement) I needed to fix my heavy mortars painting them in the same colors as the rest of my british. Ofcourse I need some more paint. I most buy a new bottle when I use it.

My main concern is this a mechanized list and the German players are going to bring infantry list. I hope with 4 mobile units, I will be able to attack.

I deployed all my troops to attack towards at single objective in the right quarter. Jesper trainer Panther got stuck the woods a lot, even though equipped with widetracks. Placed between the M10 and Challenger they got easily destroyed. 

My 2 recon units worked overtime lifting gone to the ground and I was able to clear the objective. Jespers scattered reserves didn’t help him arriving in the opposite corner.

Played surrounded for the first time. I didn’t concentrate and deployed all wrong and forgot my place M10s. I split my force in 2, I should have made a single push from the river side of the board.

Did try for a long time to grab a single point but failed.

Intermezzo, aftermath

Pro : 

The food, a different-tasting dinner and fine lunch choice. Fine shop with cheap beer and coffee.

I liked the different points on the tables. (size of game played) But there were many who thought 1750 points where the standard and the other army size rarely would be used. Maybe they should have told it in advance

Con:

Random opponents. They could should have used Göepp to swiss draw and table allocation

Rooms and the toilet was not very clean. But I can understand that I may lose the location due to lack of funding.  I was a ball, however, to watch all the old roleplay and board games. It was very oldschool.

I didn’t choose my army an think I would win it all. I wanted to play with Challengers :-) I won 3 (one was a draw) and lost 2.  I am pleased, and I am looking forward play british again (love those carriers) . It was not great victories so I ended up last in the rankings.

I caved in at went for an army with Challengers for Intermezzo Odense. I found the guard lists from Hell Highway to pricy. Instead I chose the Taurus Pursuant: The 11th Armoured Division During Operation Market Garden PDF. Now I have to try playing with RT Cromwells
